We have a wonderful opportunity to work with St. Andrews on their Sack Lunch Program to help the homeless in our community!
As you know, community service is an important part of our Christian service and that is why we are starting a program called SUPER SANDWICH Days at Valor. On the first Wednesday of each month we are asking our kids to make lots of PB&J sandwiches for the homeless in the South Bay Area.
We will create an assembly line for kindergarteners through 5th grade after school and they will take turns smearing bread with peanut butter and jelly. All of these sandwiches will be delivered to St. Andrews Wednesday afternoon for distribution on Thursday during their sack lunch program. The first Wednesday of each month we are looking for volunteers to stay and make sandwiches from 3:00–3:30. If you are unable to stay we also need donations of bread, peanut butter, jelly, sandwich bags, brown paper bags, drinks and snacks. Send in donations ASAP and come and help make a difference in our community!
Please send in donations labeled SUPER SANDWICHES.
